Alleys

Description: We received a note from a homeowner asking NBHOL if they would put together a campaign to clean our alleys and replace garbage cans that have rat-eaten holes. This will be brought up at the next NBHOL board meeting, but if anyone else has any comments or suggestions, this is the place to do it. Thanks.
Interest in Buying Your Home

Description: Be careful if you receive letters from individuals saying that they and their growing family were driving by and they "like your house." Several people have reported receiving similar letters. One of the letters was sent by someone who is in the real estate business. They may be seeking long time residents of the area, or elderly homeowners, trying to con them into selling their homes for far less than the market value. Additionally, they may be trying to gain access to the inside of homes to case them out for a future burglary. We just don't have enough information yet. Howard to Kedzie Right Turn

Description: Does anyone know if it's legal to make a right turn from Howard (eastbound) onto Kedzie when the light is red? There isn't a "no turn on red" sign, but it's confusing because of Channel Road also being there.
