If your mechanic does a poor job repairing your car, you would find a new mechanic, right? If your furnace repair tech can't fix your furnace, it stands to reason you would call another service. So why put up with AT&T's poor service and high rates? The President's Message in the latest newsletter says we should call AT&T and complain about poor DSL service. I got tired of hearing excuses and that there are no plans to upgrade service in this neighborhood. I told a customer service rep that she should inform her manager that the demographics in our area are changing with the number of young families with children moving in and that they are going to demand better service. Then I dumped AT&T and signed up with a better, faster and less expensive service for phone and Internet. My connection speed increased more than 10 times. My download speed is 10.37MB/s (according to Speedtest.net). To put in perspective, I can download a 5Mb file in four seconds. I sometimes have to watch online videos for work. I can do so without the stop and start and slow downloads with AT&T's antiquated service. And I was able to get rid of that ugly wire running over my back yard. So don't bother calling AT&T; they're already hanging around your house but not doing anything. Throw 'em out!

Yesterday I saw rodents in the open garbage can on the 2900 block of W. Touhy. Because of the construction debris, the garbage men cannot get to the garbage can. """" keeps piling garbage into the open can.

Neighbor on the 2900 block of W Touhy has piled construction debris (drywall, 2x4's with nails inbeded, tile, etc) in the alley. This debris has been in the alley almost two weeks. It makes it almost impossible to park my cars in the garage. The garbage men cannot get to her cans and she piles garbage on top of the cans. The ward office has been a wonderful. Still this debris is there. Once we get snow on the ground, I will not be able to park in the garage.

I'm still waiting for the speed bumps to be painted...& when will the 3000 &3100 Fargo be repaved as the streets to the south have been. Called the ward office & got no satisfactory response.
